RV Purchase Checklist: Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using the RV Purchase Checklist iOS app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. The App asks you to confirm, before first use: "I understand this is not a professional inspection". If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App is, and is not

RV Purchase Checklist is a self-guided checklist tool. It is not a professional inspection, appraisal, or warranty, and it does not guarantee the condition, safety, or value of any RV. The confidence score reflects only the answers and photos you entered. Always do your own due diligence and consider a certified professional inspection before you buy. You are solely responsible for your purchase decisions.

The App gives information only. It is not professional, legal, financial, mechanical, or insurance advice. Warranty and paperwork fields only record what you were told or shown; the App does not interpret contracts, warranties, or financing terms.

3. The score

The score (0–100) and "coverage %" are estimates from a fixed formula applied to your own answers. As the App states: "Based only on what you checked. Not a professional inspection." The score is not a certification or rating of any vehicle. A score shown with "Get a pro inspection" means you entered a safety or active-water issue; a higher score does not mean an RV is safe or sound. Items you could not check are not scored.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own inspections, due diligence, negotiations, and purchase decisions, and for getting an independent professional inspection. You are responsible for your safety while inspecting (for example roofs, ladders, propane, and electrical systems) and for having the owner's or seller's permission to inspect and photograph a vehicle.

5. Reports you share

PDF reports carry this footer: "Prepared by the buyer using RV Purchase Checklist. This report is based solely on the buyer's own observations. It is not a professional inspection, and the app's maker makes no representations about the vehicle." The cover states: "Based only on what the buyer checked. Not a professional inspection." You are responsible for what you include in a report and for how you use it with sellers, dealers, lenders, or others. Do not remove or alter these statements. Estimates of repair costs or price adjustments in a report are your own figures.

6. Price

The App is free. All features, including the checklist, live score, and shareable PDF report, are included at no charge. There are no in-app purchases.

7. Your data

Your checklists, notes, and photos are stored on your device. You are responsible for backups (the App offers export to a .rvcheck file). See the Privacy Policy.

8. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Do not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App, or use it for unlawful purposes. Professional inspectors, dealers, and other professionals may use the App, including with their clients; these Terms and all disclaimers still apply, and Sandhill Apps is not responsible for any professional services or advice.

9. No warranty

THE APP AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the checklist is complete or covers every defect.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Sandhill Apps IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY PURCHASE DECISION, VEHICLE DEFECT, REPAIR COST, LOSS IN VALUE, INJURY DURING INSPECTION, DISPUTE WITH A SELLER, DEALER, OR LENDER, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST DATA. THE APP IS FREE, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sandhill Apps from claims arising from your use of the App or of reports you create or share, including with sellers or dealers, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Apple

These Terms are between you and Sandhill Apps, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and, to the extent permitted by law, has no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price if the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty. Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple is not responsible for third-party intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You represent that you are not in a US-embargoed country or on a US prohibited-party list.

13. Changes and termination

We may update the App or these Terms; material changes will be noted in the App or at https://rvchecklist.sandhillapps.com/terms, and continued use means acceptance. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
